About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for experienced project managers or health professionals with a passion for improving positive and early student exposure to the mental health sector. As a Project Officer Interprofessional Student Placement, you will play a pivotal role in partnering with the Department of Health, Victoria to increase the quality and quantity of student placements in mental health and alcohol and other drugs services. Working within the new Collaborative Practice Centre and engaging with various stakeholders, you will have the unique chance to foster positive student experiences, establish new collaborations, and make a real impact in countering stigma and perceptions in the mental health sector. Three full-time roles are available, and applications from suitable candidates with part-time preferences are welcomed. You will be work with the other PO and as part of wider project team.An immediate start is available for successful candidates.
Your responsibilities will include:
4. Lead project management, collaborating with clinical placement providers and academic coordinators to achieve project aims.
5. Develop and implement new placement supports, collect feedback, and maintain up-to-date documentation.
6. Foster collaboration between education and mental health sectors, ensuring positive placement experiences and strong relationships.
Who We Are Looking For
You are a highly skilled communicator and relationship-builder, maintaining confidentiality and engaging external stakeholders effectively. You excel at disseminating project findings through various channels, showcasing your expertise in customer journey mapping and customer service communication.
You will also have:
7. A relevant qualification at degree level and at least three years’ experience in a student placement setting and/or equivalent combination of relevant training and experience to meet the key responsibilities.
8. Strong project management and organisational skills, and the ability to lead project activities including project team meetings, mapping and scoping exercises.
9. Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving, and commitment to cultural diversity and equity.
