About the opportunity
The Senior Production Drafter is part of the Arden Homes Drafting team and reports to the Drafting Manager. The key focus of this role is to prepare accurate drawings within specified timeframes in line with the customer's requests and company standards.
* Accurately prepare draft sales plans, final sales plans, working drawings and contract plans that incorporate house siting, floor plans, elevations, internal drawings, plumbing and slab layouts with a focus on quality and meeting expected timeframes.
* Efficiently interact with multiple internal stakeholders including sales consultants, estimators, colour selection consultants, and compliance teams to address technical issues and manage deadlines.
* Produce working construction drawings including reviews and corrections.
* Problem‐solve construction and drafting related matters.
* Identify ways to streamline processes.
About you
* Tertiary education in a relevant field, including a bachelor's degree, diploma or TAFE certificate in design and drafting.
* Experience with relevant software applications – AutoCAD, ArchiCAD – essential.
* Experience working in residential home construction and producing drawings.
* Knowledge of current codes, regulations and construction practices.
* A keen eye for detail and strong time management.
* Team focus and strong communication skills to build solid relationships.
* Demonstrate an innovative approach to solving problems.
