The Role
We believe in the talent and strength of our team, so that, in aim to keep growing together, we are looking for a HSE Manager to join our HSE team.
Ensure that the company has safe and healthy work environments. Plan, implement, monitor and improve work practices to make them safe.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
· Manage all Health and Safety related elements in:
- Construction
- Corporate Office
* Manage the operational control of Project HSE teams on Gransolar projects.
* Manage the project teams and corporate HSE employees for the successful and safe delivery of Gransolar projects.
* Support the project teams with the development, establishment, and implementation of WHS plans in line with development conditions and client expectations.
* Set (in conjunction with SMT) and monitor project WHS KPI's.
* Facilitate health and wellbeing strategies for both Corporate and Project teams.
* Manage Client HSE expectations.
* Support the Project WHS Managers with internal and external reporting obligations.
* Support the project teams in the achievement of their individual goals, project objectives and individual responsibilities and meeting individual KPIs.
* Develop safe systems of work across GRS operations, including construction and corporate operations.
* Manage and maintain the company's accreditation under the OFSC including, but not limited to:
o On site audits
o Contract declarations for scheme projects,
o Biennial reporting
o Incident reporting
* Work towards lowering the company's risk profile under the OFSC accreditation scheme.
* Collaborating and supporting the Head of HSE O&M – Learning and Development in the achievement of their responsibilities.
* Expand the scope of Gransolar's WHSMS to include corporate office.
Corporate Level Activities
* Annual performance reviews
* Performance management of direct reports
* Development and continual improvement of WHS procurement strategies.
* Manage the development and implementation of Gransolar' s Online Risk and Compliance Platform for construction.
* Development, review and continually improve Gransolar's WHS management system.
* Monitor and facilitate change management strategies having an OHS/WHS focus.
* Interview candidates for potential project and corporate WHS roles.
* Assist company Officer's exercising due diligence.
* Build and maintain working relationships with industry bodies and internal/external stakeholders.
* Respond to WHS matters outside of ordinary hours as needed.
* Manage the transition of and compliance to ISO management system certifications including ISO45001 and ISO14001.
* Manage Corporate WHS reporting.
* · Project Level Activities
* Leading, responding to and assisting Project Managers and project level personnel in the achievement of their goals and project objectives.
* Support the Head of WHS O&M – in the achievement of their responsibilities.
* Visit both domestic and international project sites as needed.
* Assist with industrial dispute resolution as needed.
* Assist with maintaining client-side relationships.
* Promote continual improvement strategies.
* Introduce and manage early works strategies from a WHS perspective.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Professional degree or years of experience in the area of Safety, Environment and Risk Prevention.
* Cert IV in Workplace Health & Safety.
* Cert IV in Training and Assessment (advantageous).
