Job Description
The Department of Education is seeking a finance professional to lead the Infrastructure Finance team in providing high-quality financial management for capital and operational works programs.
The successful candidate will have experience in project settlements, financial reporting, or capital works finance and a strong understanding of data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
The role involves leading a team of 3, managing the monthly capital project settlement process, and taking ownership of custom-built Power BI dashboards supporting executive decision-making and project settlements.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and navigate change.
They will also be responsible for preparing submissions and reports for senior executives, liaising with QAO on audit matters, developing and documenting financial procedures, and supporting data-informed decision-making across the department.
