Your new role
As the Architect Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and guiding solution architecture across a large, complex modernisation program.
You will:
* Define logical and physical solution designs that align with enterprise architecture direction.
* Lead the development of high‑quality system events to support an event‑driven architecture approach.
* Provide architectural guidance to delivery teams modernising core legacy systems.
* Establish patterns and frameworks that enable near real‑time data sharing and support new digital capabilities.
* Work closely with architects and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet organisational standards and long‑term technology goals.
* Oversee design decisions throughout delivery to ensure alignment with agreed principles, patterns, and roadmaps.
This role sits at the centre of a large-scale transformation, helping the organisation move toward a more modular, scalable, and data‑driven architecture.
What you'll need to succeed
* Strong experience in solution or enterprise architecture within complex environments.
* Expertise in event‑driven design, including defining and governing system events.
* The ability to guide teams building integrations across legacy and contemporary platforms.
* An understanding of modern architectural practices, cloud‑based design, and data replication patterns.
* Strong collaboration, governance, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and modelling notations.
* Certifications in Confluent, AWS, or related technologies.
