Job Description

The aim of the Hospital Registrar – After Hours position is to provide a supportive learning environment for the acquisition of the skills necessary to care for a range of patients and for the registrar to deliver exceptional medical care to deteriorating and critically ill patients within the hospital.

The registrar will work under the supervision of ICU, with a primary outreach focus that provides care to deteriorating and unstable ward patients. The consultant admitting physician will be the primary contact for patient issues, while the ICU registrar, intensive care physician on‐duty/on‐call, the Director of ICU, Supervisor of Training and nursing staff (especially the liaison nurses and hospital coordinator) are always immediately available and should be consulted should the need arise.
