**About the Role**:
Position Title: Research Officer
Department: MCHRI (Monash Centre for Health Research & Implementation)
Location: Monash Medical Centre Clayton

**This position is for 1.0 EFT from Feb 2025 - Feb 2026.**
We seek to fill a vital position in research support and coordination to enable implementation and evaluation of a leading research program focused on delivering improvements in women's health during pregnancy through research and translation into Monash Health antenatal care services at scale. Working collaboratively with clinicians, researchers, and other stakeholders, this position will be responsible for seamless coordination and integration of the intervention into the health system, addressing real-world healthcare needs and optimising outcomes.
Working with a project team, the Research Officer will provide a vital supportive role across the spectrum of conceptualization through to project closure and translation. This includes ethics coordination, project management, stakeholder engagement and health system implementation. Data collection via quantitative and qualitative methods is also integral to this role, requiring an experienced, efficient and effective researcher to achieve this. The Research Officer will develop and implement research processes across MCHRI to support the achievement of MCHRI strategic objectives and enhance our position as a leading Centre for collaboration and research translation

MCHRI sits under the Facility of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University. Established in 2005, MCHRI has grown from 3 to 180 staff and students. MCHRI is a collaborative partnership between Monash University and Monash Health. MCHRI utilises public health research as well as the translation and implementation of clinical, health services and public health knowledge, underpinned by cross sector end user engagement, to deliver health impact. MCHRI is the base for the new maternity Learning Health System (LHS), embedding research and maternal healthcare provision, to drive unprecedented, sustainable national improvement in maternity care and health outcomes for women and newborns. MCHRI works with broader reach across Monash Partners Academic Health Science Centre, nationally and internationally in our research and translation endeavours. **Project Coordination**:
- Development and implementation of effective efficient research processes to support research leads in project coordination and delivery of key research outputs.
- Manage and coordinate operational aspects of the research program including stakeholder communication, participant management, data collection, collation and management and integration of databases.
- Attend relevant meetings, providing updates on project progress and outcomes.
- Manage ethics amendments and submissions in line with trial requirements.
**Research and Translation**:
- Conduct research aligned with the research program objectives across knowledge to action, including formative research, user-testing, trial implementation.
- Lead participant coordination at scale across Monash Health antenatal services.
- Produce and/or contribute to peer-reviewed publications, and project reports based on study findings.
