We are seeking a Wellbeing Carer to join our team in Bateau Bay, where your enthusiasm for bringing people together and helping them discover their passions can flourish.

Our modern care home is set in a coastal suburb of the Central Coast, NSW. It's close to local shops, parks, church, schools, and transport links, providing an ideal environment for residents to live comfortably.

Our primary goal is to focus on the health, lifestyle, and well-being of our residents, ensuring they feel supported and valued throughout their stay with us.

Responsibilities:

- Be the fun facilitator: You'll help residents explore their interests, whether it's within the care home or beyond, through art classes, gardening clubs, day trips, and movie nights.
- Social butterfly extraordinaire: You'll be the friendly face who connects residents and fosters a sense of belonging through lively games, quiet chats over afternoon tea, and other social activities.
- More than just activities: You'll be a supportive companion, assisting with daily living tasks like mealtimes and outings, and offering emotional support to those with cognitive impairment or mental health needs.
- Resident champion: Your voice matters. You'll gather feedback from residents and their families to ensure activities truly meet their needs and preferences.
- Team player: You'll collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, document progress, and escalate any concerns.
- Hygiene hero: Keeping things clean and safe is essential. You'll follow infection control protocols and maintain a tidy environment.
- Catering crewmate: You'll lend a hand with plating and serving meals, adhering to food safety standards and monitoring resident preferences.

Requirements:

- A heart of gold: Your passion for enriching lives is essential.
- Can-do spirit: You're flexible, adaptable, and always up for a challenge.
- Creative spark: You're brimming with ideas to make every day an adventure.
- Excellent communication: You connect easily with residents and colleagues, building trust and rapport.
- Team player: You collaborate effectively and support others with a smile.
- Previous experience in caring for elders within an Aged Care or community setting is necessary.
- First Aid Certificate (or willing to get one)
- Australian driver's licence preferable
