The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. You will be working closely with our team of engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and lay out electrical installations for overhead cranes, including substations, switchgear, and motor control systems.
* Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and diagrams for electrical installations and circuitry; maintain accurate documentation of all designs and modifications.
* Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance on electrical systems to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards, including calibrating and repairing components.
* Estimate material costs and quantities required for projects and maintenance activities.
* Assemble, install, and commission electrical components and systems, ensuring they meet operational requirements and regulations.
* Provide technical support for research and experimental programs to innovate and enhance product offerings.
* Install, test, and adjust electrical and mechanical parts.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and skills:
* An Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* At least three years of relevant work experience.
* Certification as an Electrical Engineering Technician is preferred.
* Possession of EWP, Gantry, and Forklift tickets is a definite advantage.
* Current open C class driver's licence.
* Comfortable working at heights and handling heavy components.
* Ability to follow safety protocols and use PPE as required.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in documenting complex electrical systems.
* Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and safety standards.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team and support complex projects.
