Eligibility : Open to Everyone Role Status: Full-time term vacancy available until 3 September **** Remuneration: $98,478 - $104,165 Role Details: The Department for Child Protection is seeking an experienced procurement professional to fill the role of Senior Contracts Officer within our Commissioning, Procurement and Contracts directorate in Adelaide .
This position is critical in overseeing major procurement activities, developing contracts and providing advice on contract renewals and negotiations, and ensuring strong contract performance across DCP.
You will help guide the delivery of essential services that support children, young people and families, while contributing to improved value, accountability and outcomes in a fast paced and collaborative environment.
In this role, you will Lead and deliver end to end procurement services in line with Treasurers Instruction 18-Procurement and advise on contract renewal processes.
You will be required to prepare tender documentation and manage evaluations in line with complexity of your procurement process Assist in negotiations, variations and performance monitoring to ensure compliance and strong service outcomes.
Maintain accurate contract and procurement records and reporting, ensuring risks, changes and performance issues are captured and addressed.
Contribute to the development and improvement of procurement strategies, policies and systems across the directorate To be successful You will bring extensive experience in managing end to end procurement processes for major contracts, including planning, market engagement, evaluation and negotiation.
Your ability to navigate complex commercial environments will enable you to influence outcomes, manage multiple stakeholders and resolve contract performance issues with confidence.
Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret contract law, government policy and procurement standards.
You will be skilled at analysing information, preparing clear recommendations and supporting teams to meet business needs within agreed timeframes and budgets.
Your success in this role will also rely on your ability to balance commercial, ethical and community outcomes while contributing to a safe, inclusive and collaborative workplace.
