About the Role
We are currently seeking an Orchard Operator / Farm Hand to join our pistachio farm in Robinvale, Victoria. This role will assist with a range of hands-on tasks associated with the day-to-day operations of the property.
The successful applicant would be available to work some weekends and shift work (including nights) when required throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities
* Tractor operation and general machinery maintenance
* Tree pruning with a chainsaw and secateurs
* Harvest machinery operation
* Irrigation maintenance
* Orchard maintenance and manual field work
* Land/soil preparation, spraying of fertilizer and pesticide solutions
* Orchard development work
Skills and Experience
* Demonstrated experience in farm machinery operation, including tractor experience
* Attention to detail
* Strong written and verbal skills
* Certified in the use of chemicals
* Team player and willingness to learn new skills
* Safety-focused mindset
* Comfortable working autonomously
* Drivers Licence essential
* Must have fulltime Australian work rights
