About the Role
Caruso & Co Legal is a respected South Australian law firm with a robust reputation for delivering high-quality, practical legal advice. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant / Paralegal to join our team, with a focus on Wills and Estates and Property and Conveyancing matters.
This role will provide essential support to our solicitors and clients across a broad range of files. The successful candidate will be involved in:
Preparing and managing documents, correspondence and court forms.
Drafting simple wills, powers of attorney, and assisting with probate and estate administration.
Assisting with residential and commercial conveyancing transactions, including preparation of contracts, Form 1s, settlement statements and PEXA lodgements.
Assisting with leasing matters, including the preparation and review of retail, commercial and residential leases.
Liaising with clients, external stakeholders and government authorities.
Managing file openings, billing and trust account requirements in line with legal practice standards.
Providing general administrative support to ensure smooth operation of the practice.
About You
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and client-focused. The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a law firm, particularly in wills and estates, property, conveyancing and/or leasing.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with legal practice management software (experience with Actionstep is an advantage but not essential).
PEXA experience is not required but will be considered an advantage.
A skilled, positive and team-focused attitude.
