The Role
The ABC in Toowoomba is looking for an capable reporter for a short term contract to create compelling content across all platforms for the local audience. You are creative, super organised, able to weave a good yarn and you'll love coming to work and connecting with our audience in regional Queensland.
Responsibilities
* Produce news bulletins and present Q&A's, interviews, and packages across all platforms, including breaking news.
* Contribute to planning and commissioning processes to develop and distribute new content ideas to achieve strong reach and engagement with audiences.
* Contribute to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan.
About You
You'll have:
* Experience to start working and be up to speed quickly in the role.
* A creative approach to news content construction and delivery, and accomplished experience in live presentation and broadcast.
* Accomplished editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise sound judgement.
* Demonstrated strong understanding of the issues that affect and interest the local audience.
