We run various events, some include birthday parties, school discos, school holiday programs and children's stage shows. We are a small team of 2 admin staff; however, our events are all over Melbourne and Geelong with some regional events as well. We currently have 20 children's hosts / performers. We are passionate about increasing children's self-esteem through music and dance, by creating events that increase their self-confidence. For this role you will be working from a home office in Chelsea. You will be working in a friendly, supportive team that care and help each other to achieve the daily tasks.
**About the role**:
The role of Victorian Operations Manager is a 5 month maternity leave position, with potential to present ongoing work following the conclusion of the contract.
The hours of work are expected to be 20 hours per week. Employer preferred hours would be between 10am - 2pm daily, but these hours may be flexible from week to week as required. This role will suit someone with at least 3-5 years previous management experience if not more. You will oversee the day to day organising of all the events and processes. You will manage a team of 2 office staff and 12 entertainers, plus additional staff management and scheduling in the term school holidays. Experience in how to motivate and manage a vast team of people is essential. You will be responsible for customer satisfaction and problem solving. You will also be responsible for overseeing the scheduling of all the events, as well as ensuring the entertainers have all the information and equipment necessary.
You will be responsible for creating content for school holiday programs, this includes, but not limited to organising the program, coming up with new ideas and concepts, organising supplies, creating the marketing funnel and finalising all customer bookings.
I am looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, that thrives on efficiency and wants to grow in a small business.
This is a part-time or casual role, working Monday to Friday, from 10.00am - 2.00pm. As the business operations manager you will be required to answer the phone and deal with any last-minute emergencies on the weekends and after hours from time to time.
