We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Linux Administrator with strong cybersecurity knowledge to join our technology operations team.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience managing Linux environments, implementing automation, ensuring system reliability, and strengthening security posture across enterprise infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have broad exposure to system administration, cloud (Azure/AWS), backup operations, and telco domain environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining secure, stable, and high-performance systems while supporting daily operations, troubleshooting, and implementing best practices across infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, configure, and maintain Linux-based systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Solaris, etc.).
Ensure system availability, stability, performance optimisation, and security hardening.
Perform OS-level upgrades, patching, kernel updates, and routine maintenance.
Monitor system health, logs, disk usage, and resource consumption.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
Implement and maintain security best practices across Linux environments.
Conduct vulnerability assessments, system audits, and compliance checks.
Manage user access, permissions, privilege escalation controls, and identity policies.
Respond to security incidents, monitor threats, and assist in mitigation activities.
Work with security teams to align with governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
Automation & Scripting
Develop automation scripts for system tasks using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
Manage and automate workflows across Solaris, Linux, Windows, ESX, and network components.
Support automation for backups, patch management, and system monitoring.
Cloud & Virtualization
Administer Linux systems hosted on Azure and AWS platforms.
Support virtualised environments including VMware ESX.
Assist with migration and implementation of cloud-based solutions.
Backup, Monitoring & Operations
Manage enterprise backup tools and maintain disaster recovery readiness.
Monitor system and network performance; proactively resolve performance bottlenecks.
Handle BMC Control-M administration for job scheduling and automation.
Maintain documentation, operational runbooks, and configuration standards.
Apply strong telco domain knowledge to support networked infrastructure.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and coordinate with network teams.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
2–5 years of experience as a Linux/System Administrator.
Strong understanding of Linux OS internals, administration, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with cybersecurity controls, patching, hardening, and incident response.
Experience with automation (Solaris, Linux, Windows, ESX, Security tools, and BMC Control-M).
Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and telco domain environments.
Experience with backup technologies, monitoring tools, and operational support.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently in high-paced, production-critical environments.
