About Western Diagnostic Pathology we offer a unique career opportunity as a Pathology Courier. In this role you will be responsible for collecting and transporting pathology samples to various laboratories across different locations.
The primary responsibility of the Pathology Courier is to pick up and deliver pathology specimens, blood products, X-rays, and vaccines from medical centers, collection centers, nursing homes, hospitals, and veterinary surgeries to laboratories in various locations. You will manage 30+ stops per day, ensuring a safe and efficient process while providing quality health services to our communities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pick-up and delivery of pathology samples, specimens, blood/blood products, X-rays, and vaccines
* Liaising between referring medical practitioners and medical liaison officers with regards to store orders
* Maintenance of patient confidentiality and integrity
* Compliance with policies, procedures, work health and safety procedures, and quality assurance processes
This role requires strong interpersonal skills, excellent time management, and physical capability to handle equipment weighing up to ***** kg.
We are seeking an individual with a valid open Australian driver's license, ability to work various shifts including rostered weekends and public holidays, and previous courier experience considered highly advantageous.
