Are you a detail-driven accounting professional seeking a new challenge? As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the company's payroll processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee Australian payroll operations, collaborating with external providers to meet deadlines and address employee queries.
* Prepare and reconcile payroll journals, calculate leave provisions, and support tax, safety, and workers' compensation reporting.
* Perform debt calculations, monitor aging, and prepare regular cash flow reports to inform business decisions.
* Establish payment arrangements, assist with treasury projects, and support group-wide financial requirements.
* Contribute to ABS surveys, audits, customer record updates, and process improvements in finance and treasury.
Requirements
* At least 2 years of experience in accounting or payroll-focused roles.
* Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) is highly desirable.
* Excellent Excel skills are essential for data analysis and reporting.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for effective collaboration.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining confidentiality and being proactive.
* A degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
