Your impact
Jacobs is expanding, and we're looking for a talented Geotechnical Engineers or Engineering Geologists to join our growing Perth team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects across multiple markets, including water, rail, roads, ports and resources, and play a key role in delivering high quality geotechnical engineering across the region.
In this role, you'll be involved in carrying out desk studies for sites, planning ground investigations, building ground models and writing factual reports. You will also undertake geotechnical analysis, design and reporting for a variety of projects, working in accordance with relevant industry practice, local authority and national standards. Your work will involve the ground investigation of greenfield and brownfield site developments (e.g. site walkovers, supervision of intrusive testing (e.g. BHs, CPTs, test pits) and non‐intrusive testing methods (e.g. geophysics), developing laboratory test schedules, geohazard and slope stability assessments, seismic and static liquefaction analysis, foundation design, retaining wall design, and the interpretation of geotechnical test data. Strong technical writing skills will be essential as you prepare clear, accurate and insightful reports, plus have inputs to tender proposals and bid writing.
You'll also have the chance to contribute to innovative design solutions, applying best practice methodologies and supporting the implementation of Jacobs' standards and procedures across HSEC, quality and service delivery. Working collaboratively within the project team, you'll manage your tasks to meet agreed timeframes and proactively communicate any design or scheduling concerns to senior engineers or the design manager.

Here's what you'll need
* Relevant qualification (Tertiary Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology)
* Experience undertaking site investigations in accordance with AS 1726:2017
* Willingness to undertake fieldwork, including supervision of subcontractors in remote locations
* Experience in similar role. Work experience in consulting environment (preferred)
* Team player, strong interpersonal and communications skills,
* Proactive and business minded
