Renergi Pty Ltd ) develops and commercialises innovative, environmentally responsible renewable energy technologies to create a negative-emission, bio-based circular economy.
We are currently commissioning our first commercial-scale pyrolysis plant in Collie, WA. This cutting-edge facility will convert municipal solid waste and biomass into high-value products, including wood vinegar and biochar, while permanently sequestrating CO2 from the atmosphere.
Given that this is our first commercial-scale plant, the role requirements will be dynamic from week to week, changing in response to the commissioning needs and challenges of the plant. This is a unique opportunity to be an early part of a high-impact, climate-focused project.
About the challenge
We are seeking a motivated and energetic young person to join our commissioning team. You do not have to have any prior trade skills. Instead, the position will offer you significant scope for learning new skills as you will carry out a wide range of tasks in a team with highly qualified engineers and trade people. The appointee will have the opportunity to transit into a role when the plant is operated continuously in this rapidly growing company.
This role is primarily site-based in Collie, WA.
Main responsibilities:
The appointee will work as a team member of the project. The main responsibilities will include:
* Working hands-on in the day-to-day project activities for the commissioning and operation of the pyrolysis plant in Collie under the close supervision of experienced technical and trade staff.
* Upholding and promoting high standards of safety, ensuring compliance with WHS and environmental regulations.
* Undertake other duties as reasonably directed by the Company.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
* Physically fit and willing to perform practical/manual tasks under varying site conditions.
* A strong desire to learn new skills.
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
* Flexible, adaptable and eager to contribute in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
* Positive attitudes to maintaining high safety and environmental standards.
* Australian citizen or permanent resident based in or willing to relocate to south-west WA, close to Collie.
Non-Essential but Desirable Skills & Attributes:
* Any qualification and/or working experience in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, will be valued.
* Relevant certificates and licences (e.g. operating a forklift or working at heights) will be valued.
