MARINE INTERIOR FIT‑OUT CREW WANTED (For People Who Like Making Cool, Interesting Stuff)
If you’re a cabinetmaker, shopfitter, boatbuilder, or hands‑on craftsperson who’s bored out of your mind… keep reading.
Because in our workshop, we don’t build 400 identical kitchens a year.
We don’t pump out cookie‑cutter wardrobes or do 17 variations of the same vanity.
We build different things. Cool things. Complicated things.
The kind of things your mate can’t explain at the pub.
About the Role (a.k.a What You’ll Actually Be Doing)
You’ll be part of a marine interior fit‑out team building the guts, bones and beautiful details of high‑end vessels — cabins, galleys, lounges, odd-shaped storage systems, secret compartments, curved panels, you name it.
Expect:
* Cabinets that aren’t square (boats are spicy like that)
* Custom furniture that does 4 things at once
* Spaces that look like luxury apartments squeezed into a moving shell
* Jobs where “that’ll do” is a swear word
* And variety
If you’re creative, problem‑solving, hands-on and love figuring out how to make something real that previously only existed in someone’s head…
you’ll thrive here.
Why This Job Beats Same‑Old Cabinetmaking
Variety
One week: perfectly curved wall panels.
Next week: installing high‑gloss cabinetry in a superyacht bedroom.
Week after that: making a custom table that magically folds, slides and hides itself like a transformer.
Bragging Rights
Your work literally sails. (Top that, kitchen installers.)
Craft, not conveyor belts
We build quality, not volume.
We build cool, not boring.
You get to solve actual problems
Boat interiors don’t follow rules.
If you like puzzles, you’ll feel at home.
No two days the same
If you hate repetitive work, this is the job.
Skills You’ll Need
If you’ve done any of this, you’re probably a fit:
* Cabinetmaking / shopfitting / boatbuilding experience
* Confident with tools (power tools, hand tools, measurement — the usual suspects)
* Ability to read plans OR the willingness to learn
* Ability to use digital systems OR the willingness to learn
* Pride in your work
* Ability to adapt when a boat decides to be… boat-shaped
Bonus points for:
* Curving stuff
* Working with lightweight materials
* Thinking outside the box (literally and emotionally)
Who We’re Looking For
People who:
* Don’t want a boring job
* Actually enjoy making things
* Like problem-solving
* Are sick of building the same cabinets over and over
* Want to be part of a team that has a laugh but delivers top-quality results
If you’re the “creative tradie” in your friend group… we want you.
