Aussie Seafood House has been proudly servicing Brisbane and South-East QLD for over 20 years. We are currently seeking applicants at our Lawton location to undertake a Fish Monger Apprenticeship.
There will be extensive industry training in all areas of Seafood including:
- general product knowledge of seafood
- preparation of seafood from the supplier to the consumer
- knife handling skills
- technical filleting skills of multiple different species of fish
- packing and preparation of prepacked items prior to selling
- cleaning and hygiene standards
- safe handling of food
- correct stock rotation
- stocking and restocking of displays
- meeting production forecasts
- developing important people skills
No previous experience in seafood is required but a detailed resume with references is (if this is your first job personal references will be suitable).
