Position Title: Field Operator – Exhibitions

Role Purpose
The Field Operator plays a critical hands‐on role in the delivery of exhibitions and events across Sydney and NSW. Working on‐site and from the warehouse, this role supports the bump‐in, build, operation, and bump‐out of exhibitions, ensuring equipment is installed correctly, safely, and to specification.
The role works closely with Project Managers, Warehouse, Logistics, and other Field Operators to deliver seamless outcomes for clients and exhibitors.
Key ResponsibilitiesExhibition & Event Delivery
* Assist with the bump‐in and bump‐out of exhibitions, trade shows, and events
* Install and dismantle furniture, structures, walls, flooring, signage, and feature areas
* Follow build plans, drawings, and on‐site instructions from Project Managers
* Ensure all equipment is presented cleanly, correctly, and professionally
On‐Site Operations
* Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
* Transport equipment between warehouse, venues, and site locations
* Liaise respectfully with venue staff, contractors, exhibitors, and team members
* Represent Moreton Hire professionally on site at all times
Safety & Compliance
* Work in accordance with WHS requirements, SWMS, and venue rules
* Use tools and equipment safely and report hazards or incidents immediately
* Assist with maintaining safe work zones during live exhibition environments
Warehouse & Asset Support
* Assist with picking, packing, and returning exhibition equipment
* Check equipment condition before and after events, reporting damage or missing items
* Maintain tidy work areas in the warehouse and on site
Skills & Experience
* Experience in exhibitions, events, construction, staging, logistics, or labouring roles
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling
* Strong teamwork skills with a positive, can‐do attitude
* Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends
* Commitment to safety and following procedures
* Forklift licence, truck licence, or EWP ticket
* Experience working at major venues (e.g. exhibition centres, showgrounds)
* Basic understanding of plans, layouts, or build drawings
