ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will take a leadership role in delivering geotechnical services from investigation through to design and construction support. You will manage projects, provide technical oversight, and contribute to strategic decision‐making while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
DUTIES
* Lead and oversee geotechnical investigations, including planning, execution, and interpretation of site data
* Deliver advanced geotechnical design solutions for foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, and ground improvement
* Review and approve technical reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and quality
* Act as a key client interface, presenting findings and providing trusted technical advice
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical inputs into broader project outcomes
* Provide senior‐level construction support, including site inspections and technical guidance
* Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering technical development within the team
* Contribute to business development, proposals, and strategic growth initiatives
* Stay at the forefront of industry developments, standards, and best practices
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
* Significant experience in geotechnical engineering, with strong exposure to Australian ground conditions
* Proven ability to lead projects and manage client relationships
* Advanced knowledge of geotechnical design principles, soil mechanics, and foundation engineering
* Proficiency with industry software such as PLAXIS, gINT, Slope/W, Slide, or similar
* Strong understanding of Australian Standards and relevant codes
* Excellent communication and report‐writing skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast‐paced environment
