Perform routine duties and undertake technical tasks of increasing complexity under the supervision of more experienced practitioners (for example: processing samples, carrying out routine tests or monitoring and maintenance of equipment) within Molecular Genetics.

- Demonstrate a competent level of knowledge, expertise and skill relevant to Molecular Genetics.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake technical tasks of increasing complexity with the level of supervision decreasing and accountability increasing.
- Demonstrated ability to work both individually and as part of a team to produce an effective work output in terms of quality and quantity.
- Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills.
Mandatory qualifications, professional registrations or other requirements
- The successful applicant must at least hold an Associate Diploma (generally graduating prior to the year 2000) or a Diploma or Advanced Diploma (or equivalent) (Year 2000 onwards), tertiary, or equivalent formal qualification(s) in a relevant discipline.
