Disability Support Carer — Part Time | Leppington NSW Salary: $45-$50 per hour. • Location: Leppington NSW 2179 • Start: Immediately, Wednesday's 8am-4pm with opportunity for more optional work About the Role Our family is seeking a Carer to support a young-at-heart, music-loving, gentle 63-year-old female who is Plan Managed and registered with NDIS. Currently living with her 87-year-old mother at home, the client has a mild intellectual disability and a lower-limb muscular degenerative condition requiring a four-wheel walker to aid mobility. We are seeking a caring, skilled person ready to assist and support her daily living. This position is predominantly residential based with external appointments as required, to improve her quality of life. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one support to a client with a diverse range of disability needs, including medication administration, exercises as recommended by Exercise Physiologist, and health promotion. Although bladder incontinent, she changes herself regularly and may need assistance to the bathroom if out of the family home. Support client showering, washing hair, promoting personal care & hygiene, assisting with daily activities outlined in the weekly schedule including domestic duties such as cooking and cleaning. Assistance in transferring in/out of a vehicle and provide transport for appointments and outings as required. Maintain accurate documentation. Who We’re Looking For Clear communication skills, empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a collaborative approach with a genuine interest to care. Registered/Enrolled Nurse, or equivalent with current registration or endorsement in Australia. Experienced clinicians welcome at all levels — from recent graduates and students with clinical placement experience to mid-senior and advanced practitioners. Qualifications ranging from Certificate III/IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, to Bachelor are appropriate. Minimum 1 year experience in nursing and/or disability support; experience across aged care, general medical, or community nursing is highly regarded. Current Australian citizenship, permanent residency. Current Driver's License and your own car to drive to/from appointments Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (obtainable through Service NSW) Current Police Check ABN (or proof of application for ABN) What We Offer Competitive hourly rate of $45-$50 based on experience and qualifications, plus $1/km when travelling to/from appointments.
