Project Engineer Job Description

Ventia has been awarded a new contract with NBN Co for five years, with an option to extend. We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to support the project manager and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

You will play a critical role in primarily focusing on operational delivery on the nbn network. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Issue/return materials to Materials Controller
2. Maintain program of works
3. Manage contract trades and ensure prompt start dates
4. Track workforce performance
5. Review completion progress and financial spend
6. Manage workforce performance issues
7. Assist and analyse claims as required
8. Attend client meetings and present performance results
9. Onboard workforce technicians
10. Assist in audits and reviews
11. Oversee system compliance and material management
12. Create and maintain key reports and trend analysis


About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in civil/electrical/telecommunications engineering or equivalent, with at least 3+ years of experience in the infrastructure/construction industry. Demonstrated background on the NBN network is highly desirable. You should have strong project reporting and analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in project management software and data analysis tools.
