We are currently seeking experienced Underground Superintendents to join our established operations in Western Australia. This role suits someone who takes pride in their work and who enjoys leading a reliable team.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll be a part of project delivery – playing an integral role in the management team by building strong client relationships, setting clear standards, and driving daily operations to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.
This is a permanent full-time position on an 8:6 or 15:13 FIFO roster.
Responsibilities
* The role involves monitoring the daily activities of shift supervisors to ensure continuity of operations and achievement of budget targets.
* Mining activities must be conducted safely and efficiently in line with both client and Byrnecut targets, with regular reviews of production and development data from the previous and upcoming 24-hour periods.
* Reviewing/driving the effective use of resources, including machinery and manpower, to meet client and Byrnecut targets.
* Ongoing responsibilities include reviewing the performance of personnel under direction and implementing changes where necessary.
* Ensuring equipment is operated safely and effectively to minimise misuse and damage while maximising performance.
* Coordinating scheduling requirements with maintenance, electrical, and subcontractor staff to ensure servicing is completed in compliance with Byrnecut requirements.
* Maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and housekeeping, minimising re-work, updating weekly manning spreadsheets for day and night shift coverage.
* Assisting with accident and incident investigations, ICAMS processes, and the initiation of changes to procedures, equipment, or behaviours as required.
Requirements
* Current WA Shift Supervisor Certificate.
* Relevant and extensive underground experience.
* Have a good understanding of general OHS, with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
* Clear and concise verbal skills with an intermediate level of English reading and writing.
* Ability to understand, interpret and follow instructions.
* Ability to work to deadlines.
* Maintain respectful relationships with other personnel, including workforce, sub-contractors and clients.
