About Us
Mooroolbark Grammar (Melbourne Applied Scholastics School) is a small independent school run by passionate teachers looking to build a learning community that celebrates each student as an individual. We think beyond the traditional with an inclusive education culture that ensures every child thrives inside and outside of their schooling years.
All teaching staff at Mooroolbark Grammar work together to fulfil the school’s mission. We recognise that every individual has different strengths and weaknesses, and it is our job to identify these to ignite a love for learning. We develop a clear understanding of how each child responds to learning and alter the learning and teaching to suit the child. To help us accomplish this our classrooms are kept under 15 students to ensure that each student gets the attention they need and successfully progress through their year level.
As an Applied Scholastics school, we apply the educational approach that focuses on practical application of knowledge in real-life situations. It is based on the principles of L Ron Hubbard’s Study Technology, which emphasises the importance of understanding how one learns in order to be able to learn effectively.
