What will you do? We're looking for an additional workshop mechanic/electrician/handyman to assemble new mobility scooters, repair scooters, and service scooters. The assembly will be done in our workshop with repairs and servicing done at client homes throughout South East Queensland. Half the time will be in the workshop, the other half on the road doing servicing and repairs. There’s plenty of lifting, so you need to be fit. You certainly don't need to have a history with mobility scooters, but experience and knowledge of small electrics or general mechanics would be preferable. There is no need for trade certificates or industry licences, although a car to get to work and car licence are essential. We have two work vans that you’re welcome to take home if it’s convenient. Who are we? Active Scooters is one of the fastest growing mobility scooter businesses in Australia. The workshop is based in the western suburbs on Brisbane. The team of seven includes a senior workshop guy, scheduler, finance and sales person, the owner and hopefully you. What are we looking for? Someone who’s perhaps a bike mechanic, car mechanic, electrician or handyman. You need to troubleshoot faults on your own when on the road, and have an eye for detail when building scooters. Someone who enjoys working on their car is a possible candidate. What’s in it for me? The role would suit someone looking for a flexible casual job, up to full-time if you’d like. The work hours are flexible, so we're happy to work with you around your availability. As a starting point, the hours would be 9am to 3pm for 4 days/week. We’re flexible about the days of the week that suits you best. The hourly rate will be $32/hr. If this sounds like the role for you, then apply now. Please include a quick message of your experience/availability in addition to your CV. Apply Now! Company information can be found at www.activescooters.com.au
