Reservations Agent
As the world's largest family of luxury hotels, we all take great pride in being ambassadors of the InterContinental brand. Our hotel, InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort, is the first InterContinental Resort to land in Australia and offers 251 rooms, 15 event spaces, and 5 restaurants & bars.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the effective day-to-day operation of the Reservations Department, optimising hotel occupancy and average rate.
* Ensure customer service is of the highest possible standard and that product standards are achieved.
* Regularly obtain and evaluate guest feedback, handling any concerns in a timely manner in line with company standards.
* Accurately process reservations, amendments and cancellations.
* Be confident and knowledgeable in all special promotion procedures and loyalty programs.
* Maintain accurate records of booking correspondence.
* Assist in preparation of statistical reports as requested by the Revenue Manager.
* Assist in updating Standard Operating Procedures and reference guides as required, and adhere to outlined policies and procedures.
* Maintain intimate knowledge of departmental standards and procedures.
* Assist Front Office as required with various tasks.
* Develop and maintain cohesive working relationships within the immediate team and wider hotel team.
* Attend and participate in briefings, meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
Qualifications
* Completion of high school (Year 12).
* You must have full working rights in Australia.
Experience
* Ability to develop rapport within a short time frame.
* Previous experience with Opera, Microsoft Word/Excel and Holidex Plus desirable; ability to adopt new programs readily and quickly.
* Previous experience in a Reservation role is preferred.
