We are seeking a Senior Case Manager to be responsible for the strategic and operational management of Voyages' workers' compensation program and return to work program. Reporting to the Work Health and Safety Manager, this position ensures legislative obligations are met, injured employees are supported through expert case management, and claims are managed effectively to achieve timely, sustainable, and safe return-to-work outcomes.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end management of workers' compensation claims under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988Liaise with Comcare and NT WorkSafe on claim determinations, liability decisions, and ongoing reviewsMonitor claim trends, costs, and performance indicators to reduce workplace injury impactsManage a portfolio of complex workers compensation insurance claims from start to finish, across a diverse range of departments and supporting operations, including designing and documenting compliant return to work plans for injured employees.Partner with leaders to reduce workplace incidents through proactive between internal and external stakeholders, including claimants, leaders, medical practitioners, case managers, rehabilitation providers, and allied health professionals, to ensure process efficiency and outcome focused goals.Participate in regular claims reviews and report on workers compensation claims progress and associated cost implications to management.
This role requires:
Have a certification in First Aid and CPRA qualification in injury management and/or rehabilitation and return work coordination, with minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of workers compensation legislation, ideally within the Comcare workers compensation scheme.Strong problem solving, organisational and administrative skills, working in a confidential environment on complex matters, including detailed report writing and shared filing systems.
