This is a challenging and rewarding role within our Corporate Tax division. The successful applicant will gain exposure to a range of tax advisory and compliance matters for clients across a variety of industries, including but not limited to the resources industry.
Key responsibilities:-
* Preparation and review of Australian Tax compliance;
* Liaising and consulting with internal stakeholders and clients from a range of industries, providing complex tax advice for local and international businesses;
* Assisting in liaising with the Australian Taxation Office in respect of taxpayer ruling requests and disputes;
* Strengthening existing client relationships and developing new client relationships;
* Assessing engagement risk and applying commercially astute decisions; and
* Providing technical training and mentoring to junior staff in the Corporate Tax Team.
Requirements
* Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, with an Accounting or Finance major;
* Qualified as a Chartered Accountant or equivalent;
* 4+ years' experience in providing Corporate Tax services, resources sector and/or cross-border advisory experience is desirable;
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; and
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
