Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of clients across a range of industries, delivering proactive, end-to-end support across accounting, tax and advisory mattersPrepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnershipsOversee the preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS, FBT and payroll tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timelinessProvide clear, commercially focused advice on business structuring, tax planning and complianceSupport clients with day-to-day accounting queries and cloud accounting systemsAssist in the preparation and review of management reports, budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial analysisLiaise with the ATO, ASIC, state revenue offices and other professional bodies to manage compliance and resolve issuesBuild trusted client relationships through regular communication, insight-led advice and dependable service deliverySupervise and review the work of junior staff, providing mentoring, feedback and development supportSupport the selection and onboarding of new team members as the Business Advisory and Tax team grows, playing a key role in shaping and developing the teamMaintain oversight of workflow and job progress to meet client deadlines and quality standardsCollaborate with directors to deliver tailored solutions, contribute to strategic client engagements and support business development activitiesIdentify opportunities to improve internal systems, workflows and service offeringsContribute to the continued growth of the advisory division through client retention, referrals and active participation in firm-wide initiatives
What You'll BringMinimum 5 years’ experience in a public practice environment, with exposure to both compliance and advisory engagementsCompleted Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related disciplineCA or CPA qualifiedStrong technical knowledge of Australian tax legislation and relevant accounting standardsDemonstrated ability to manage a diverse portfolio of clients with professionalism and careProficiency in accounting and tax software – particularly XeroExcellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex advice into practical guidance for clientsA proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with a strong attention to detailConfidence in managing workflow, meeting deadlines and leading a small teamA collaborative, relationship-driven approach that aligns with Resolve’s values and culture
