The RoleThe Australian Defence Force offers more than 150 different jobs, some of which are considered particularly complex and/or high risk from a psychological standpoint, including roles in Aviation, Intelligence, Cyber Warfare, Submarine Warfare, and Special Forces. Applicants for these complex roles undergo targeted psychological assessments as part of their selection process.This position is responsible for the management of data and meta-data from various sources, with a strong emphasis on data quality and validity, to support and enable validation of ADF selection processes, standards, and mental health surveillance activities and research.The incumbent will utilize analytical tools and techniques to cleanse, administer, monitor, manage, and archive data to achieve business outcomes. They will also implement data governance processes and procedures and support other teams with their data needs. The role involves collaboration with other teams across the branch, liaising with, and advising the Data Management Systems Team Lead on data-led solutions and data management issues.About our TeamThe Data Management Systems team develops and maintains ICT systems and applications designed to facilitate the collection and management of psychology-related data from Occupational Suitability Assessments (OSA) and Mental Health Surveillance activities.This data supports the validation and evaluation of policies, procedures, and standards related to psychology assessments and mental health surveillance, which are crucial for the ADF’s ability to recruit effectively and manage the mental health and wellbeing of its members.We offer flexible, family-friendly working arrangements, including part-time and home-based options, and are committed to the personal and professional development of our staff.
