About The Role
The Team Leader, People Services and Experience plays a pivotal role in shaping a positive and seamless employee experience across the City of Melbourne.
You'll lead a newly formed team of People Services and Experience Officers and People Systems and Insights Specialists, building a cohesive, high performing group united by customer focus, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Leading across all stages of the employee lifecycle, you'll ensure timely, compliant and customer‐centred support. You'll champion systems thinking, embed new ways of working, and harness our HR technologies to elevate the digital employee experience.
This role has real impact. You'll streamline processes, strengthen inclusion and accessibility, and use data, insights and feedback to drive better outcomes for employees, leaders and our broader community.

What Your Experience Might Look Like
* Deep HR expertise across operations, end‐to‐end employee lifecycle processes and modern, people‐centered service delivery models
* An inspiring people leader with demonstrated capability to coach, develop and motivate teams
* Hands‐on experience with HR systems, with the ability to optimise modules such as Payroll, ATS/Recruitment, LMS and analytics tools to enhance efficiency and impact
* A customer‐centric mindset, with excellent communication and problem‐solving skills that support leaders and employees in meaningful, practical ways
* A strength in people data and insights, producing high‐quality reporting and dashboards that empower confident, strategic decision‐making
* A passion for innovation and continuous improvement, always looking to simplify, streamline and strengthen the PCS culture and employee experience
* A data‐driven approach, with the ability to interpret trends, translate insights and turn analysis into real, measurable improvements
