Project Overview
Women and Babies Hospital project in Perth – a landmark replacement for the century-old King Edward Memorial Hospital. The role involves overseeing the construction of four core structures and the installation and dismantling of four jumpform systems.
Responsibilities
* Supervise daily jumpform operations, including setup, climbing, and dismantling.
* Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow.
* Allocate labour, equipment, and materials efficiently.
* Enforce strict adherence to site safety standards and procedures.
* Conduct pre‐start meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
* Identify hazards and ensure effective control measures are implemented.
* Interpret structural drawings, specifications, and method statements.
* Ensure formwork alignment, verticality, and dimensional accuracy.
* Ensure jumpform systems, cranes, and lifting equipment are properly maintained.
* Coordinate inspections and servicing of hydraulic and mechanical systems.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in jumpform or high‐rise formwork operations.
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
* Problem‐solving and decision‐making abilities.
* Relevant trade qualification (carpentry/formwork preferred).
