We are currently seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team in Ultimo, with occasional travel to client sites across Sydney metro.
This is a full time role, working 38 hours per week across 5 days.
Duties and Responsibilities: Administer, configure, and maintain company servers, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity systems.
Manage Active Directory, group policies, permissions, and user account provisioning.
Monitor and optimise system performance, ensuring uptime and data integrity across all IT systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for both on-site and remote users.
Manage Microsoft 365, Exchange, and cloud environments including Azure AD and Intune.
Implement system upgrades, security patches, and backups according to company policies.
Develop and maintain IT documentation, configuration records, and disaster recovery procedures.
Collaborate with management to ensure system compliance with data protection and ISO security standards.
Provide level 2/3 technical support to staff and coordinate external vendors where required.
Equipment / Systems Used: Windows Server ********* Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / Intune VMware / Hyper-V Cisco / Ubiquiti networking devices Endpoint security and data-backup systems Our ideal candidate will be a reliable, security-conscious IT professional with attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced service-oriented business.
The candidate should be proactive, technically competent, and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion.
Applicants must also have have: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar Systems or Network Administrator role.
Strong working knowledge of Windows Server *********, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments.
Hands-on experience with virtualisation platforms (VMware / Hyper-V) and cloud administration.
Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Vendor certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA) are highly regarded.
Due to the nature of Guard Corp's operations and client contracts, this role requires a high level of confidentiality and availability for urgent technical support outside regular business hours if needed.
