The Australian Festival of Chamber Music (AFCM) is seeking an experienced and creative Marketing Manager to lead all marketing, digital and communications activity for one of Australia's leading cultural organisations.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is responsible for developing and delivering the annual Marketing and Business Plans, managing the Festival's brand and public profile, and driving ticket sales, audience growth and engagement across local, national and international markets.
Key responsibilities include managing marketing budgets and ticket pricing strategies, overseeing all digital platforms, PR, social media, website content and advertising campaigns, and negotiating media partnerships to maximise coverage and impact. The role also leads tourism and audience development initiatives, including Festival holiday packages and tour group sales, supports membership acquisition and retention, and contributes to sponsorship and philanthropy activity through the development of high-quality marketing collateral.
The Marketing Manager oversees all creative output to ensure brand consistency across print and digital channels, monitors and reports on campaign performance and audience data, and delivers audience research and evaluation, including Festival surveys and reporting to the AFCM Board.
To succeed in this role, you will have a degree in marketing or communications, strong digital marketing capability, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, content management systems and basic design tools is essential. Experience in arts, events, tourism or cultural organisations will be highly regarded.
