About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Diversional Therapist to join our team in Mareeba, QLD. In this role, you will design and implement engaging therapeutic and recreational programs for children, supporting their emotional, social, and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, develop, and deliver diversional therapy programs tailored to individual needs
* Work closely with children to enhance their social, emotional, and cognitive skills
* Collaborate with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams
* Monitor and evaluate client progress and adjust programs as needed
* Maintain accurate documentation and reports
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Diversional Therapy or a related field
* Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work will be accepted as alternative qualifications
* Proven experience working with children
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with children is required
* Fluent in English (written and verbal)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
