We are looking for volunteers who can provide companionship and support to children and young people in care. As an Independent Visitor, you will be matched with a child or young person who shares similar interests and needs. Together, you will plan activities that promote their emotional well-being, social development, and independence.
Some examples of activities you could do with your allocated child or young person include:
* Going to the cinema or bowling.
* Playing sports or games.
* Doing creative activities such as painting or drawing.
* Simply spending quality time together.
The key is to build a trusting and supportive relationship that enables the child or young person to feel valued and empowered. As an Independent Visitor, you will have the freedom to choose how you spend time with your allocated child or young person.
