Disability Support Worker
Location: Fraser Coast Regional Council, QLD (Close to Gympie)
About the Role
We are looking for a caring and dependable Disability Support Worker to assist an Australian gentleman in his 60s to live more independently and enhance his quality of life.
* Provide daily living assistance
* Help with sorting out his moving as he recently moved to the area
* Familiarize the participant with his neighborhood as he is new to the area
* Transport and accompany to medical and other appointments as well as manage the appointments
* Complete shift notes and share progress updates
* Create a safe, enjoyable, and supportive environment
* Support the participant in achieving his NDIS goals
Requirements
* Current Blue Card
* Current Yellow Card
* Intermediate or higher English proficiency
* Punctual, reliable, and responsible
* Willing to build a long-term, trusting relationship
* Ability to communicate effectively with family and other stakeholders
Working Hours
* Negotiable (flexible scheduling available)
Pay & Benefits
* Casual Weekday rate (Monday–Friday): from $37 – per hour (depending on experience and qualifications, inclusive of superannuation)
* We are able to offer a minimum of 20 hours of work per week, with opportunities to take on more as availability allows
* Other times and conditions ( Saturday, Sundays, and Holidays ) in accordance with SCHADS Award
