About the role
Hospital in Your Home is seeking an experienced Personal Care Worker to join our team in Townsville, QLD. This casual role is integral to providing high-quality, personalised in-home care services to our aged care clients. As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients' wellbeing and independence while enabling them to remain living in their own homes.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting clients with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
* Providing support with mobility, including transferring and ambulating clients
* Preparing and serving meals, and supporting clients with feeding as needed
* Performing light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying
* Monitoring clients' health and wellbeing, and reporting any concerns to the care team
* Engaging clients in social activities and providing companionship
* Adhering to all safety and care protocols to ensure the highest standards of client care
What we're looking for
* A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent qualification
* At least 12 months' experience working as a Personal Care Worker in an aged care or in-home care setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
* A caring, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting older adults
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* A current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
