Jacobs' Energy and Power business is at the forefront of the energy transition in the Asia Pacific region. Our Earthing and Electromagnetic Studies team is seeking a dynamic Principal or Senior/Lead Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Transients (EMT) Engineer to join our innovative consultancy in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
* Conduct advanced EMI and EMT studies, including Earth Potential Rise, Low Frequency Induction, Lightning, EMF, EMC, Insulation Coordination, and Transformer Inrush.
* Lead and manage small engineering teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
* Provide technical expertise for bid preparation and contribute to business development initiatives.
* Mentor and develop engineers to expand Jacobs' EMI/EMT service capabilities.
* Foster positive client relationships and represent Jacobs at thought leadership events.
* Contribute to innovative solutions that accelerate the shift towards sustainable energy.
Here's what you'll need
This role is ideal for someone looking to further specialize in EMI and EMT studies, building on a solid Earthing background. We welcome candidates who are eager to grow their expertise and make a significant impact on the energy transition. We're looking for the following
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
* Extensive experience in EMI and EMT studies, with a solid background in Earthing.
* Exposure to various sectors such as Substations, Transmission, Infrastructure Power (including Rail, Water, Mining, Airports, or Industrial services).
* Advanced proficiency in industry standard software tools such as CDEGS and PSCAD.
* Excellent technical report writing skills and ability to present to various internal/external stakeholders.
* Strong commitment to quality assurance and risk mitigation.
* Leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor small teams.
* Passion for sustainable energy and commitment to driving the energy transition.
