As a specialist in paediatric mental health care, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred care to children and adolescents.
You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, engage, and intervene with paediatric patients who require trauma-informed care.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering specialised mental health care to paediatric inpatients through assessments, therapeutic engagement, and interventions.
* Supporting leadership and resource coordination by assisting senior nursing and psychiatric staff in managing care delivery and team operations.
* Ensuring high-quality, consumer-centred care through effective communication with stakeholders and adherence to clinical standards and best practices.
* Contributing to team culture and leadership by helping build a collaborative, positive environment and supporting policy implementation and clinical governance.
* Promoting safety and quality by identifying clinical risks, participating in safety initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement in care outcomes.
Requirements:
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Holds or is working towards relevant post-graduate qualifications in mental health or paediatric nursing.
