Greencross Veterinarian Graduate Development Program | Combined GP and ECC program - Fairy Meadow

We're excited to offer this exciting role in our flagship Fairy Meadow, Wollongong, hospital.
Co-located with ARH Wollongong you will enjoy the best of both worlds with 24/7 care for your patients, world class facilities and experts to mentor you in both GP and ECC.
What can you expect during the Greencross Extended Graduate Program?
2-Year Structured Graduate Program
This permanent, full-time role offers a unique two-year journey across both GP and ECC:
Year 1: Greencross New Graduate Program
Build your confidence and clinical skills through structured modules, hands-on experience, and mentorship in a supportive General Practice setting.
Year 2: Emergency Graduate Program
Transition into Emergency Medicine with a tailored program that includes:
64 hours clinical + 12 hours paid study per fortnight
Completion of advanced modules via our world-class internal CE offerings
one-on-one mentoring per fortnight with an experienced Emergency Veterinarian
Access to Greencross education including Wet Pracs, workshops, and clinical symposiums
Join a Cohort of Peers
You'll be part of a national graduate cohort, creating a strong support network of peers to share your journey, challenges, and wins.
Mentoring & Support
You'll be paired with a dedicated mentor and supported by your in-clinic team and Regional Clinical Director.
Our Emergency mentors are experienced clinicians who are passionate about teaching and guiding the next generation.
Career Development
This program sets you up for success in both GP and Emergency pathways.
After completion, explore opportunities in leadership, memberships, specialty training, or business ownership.
Technology-Driven Practice
All Greencross clinics are equipped with Heidi Health's AI-powered notetaking system, giving you more time to focus on patient care and learning.
As a new graduate vet with Greencross, you'll be introduced to consulting, surgical, and medical case management at a pace that suits you.
