Duties and Responsibilities
* Identify problems in air compressors and generators through troubleshooting techniques such as electrical/mechanical fault finding using diagnostic equipment.
* Perform repairs to rectify issues and ensure equipment functionality.
* Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent potential breakdowns and ensure optimal performance of electrical systems in air compressors and generators. Includes inspecting components, cleaning, lubricating, and replacing filter kits, changing oil, cleaning oil and air coolers, and re‐greasing motors.
* Provide technical assistance to customers regarding mechanical systems in air compressors and generators. Offer guidance on troubleshooting, maintenance procedures and usage to optimise equipment performance and lifespan.
* Maintain accurate records of service activities, including diagnoses, repairs, maintenance tasks and parts used. Complete service reports, work permits and other documentation in a timely manner.
* Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing service tasks, completing Job Hazard Analysis (JSA), wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
* Prioritise safety to prevent accidents and ensure the well‐being of oneself and others.
* Isolate machines using personal locks and tags.
* Attend company sponsored training programmes.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
* Contribute to growth and profitability by providing excellent customer service aligned with company values.
* Travel within Australia and internationally as required.
* Work indoors and outdoors, often at construction sites, industrial facilities or remote locations. May encounter hazards such as electrical shock, loud noise and moving machinery. Travel to customer sites for service calls and occasional overtime or weekend work may be required.
* Perform all other duties as requested that are within skills and abilities.
Relationships
* Internal: Work closely with colleagues in service, sales and administration to coordinate service activities, share information and provide seamless customer support.
* External: Build and maintain positive professional relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for all service‐related inquiries. Understand their unique needs and provide tailored solutions promptly.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Previous experience in a maintenance field service environment.
* Commitment to workplace safety.
* Australian Manual Driver's licence.
* Excellent customer service ability.
* Experience with pneumatic equipment.
* Skills in fault finding in compressed air equipment.
* Excellent team player.
* Ability to work in a busy dynamic environment.
