About The Role
Uber is seeking a proactive and strategic Chief of Staff to partner with our APAC Regional General Manager (RGM) for Mobility. The candidate will work closely with the APAC RGM, the Leadership team across Country GMs, and cross‑functional leaders on key priorities and strategic projects.
The Chief of Staff’s mission is to make time, information, and decision‑making more effective. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing operational efficiency, facilitating communication, mobilizing teams, and driving key initiatives forward.
Your Impact in Role
* Strategic Planning and Execution: Collaborate with RGM and other leaders to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the company’s goals and objectives. Monitor progress, manage business reviews, track key performance indicators, and drive necessary adjustments. Act as a trusted advisor to the RGM, offering insights and recommendations on various business matters.
* Operational Excellence: Identify opportunities to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness. Streamline processes, optimize workflows, and lead cross‑functional projects to achieve operational excellence.
* Project Management: Lead and manage special projects, collaborating with various teams to achieve project goals within defined timelines. Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track. Anticipate and mitigate project risks, escalating issues as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
* Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between the RGM and internal/external stakeholders, fostering positive relationships. Work with leadership toward clear, efficient, and accountable decision‑making.
* Communication Management: Develop and execute effective communication strategies, ensuring consistent and transparent messaging across the region. Prepare communication materials, presentations, and reports. Ensure timely dissemination of information and alignment of messaging across the region.
* Decision Support: Provide data‑driven insights, analysis, and recommendations to assist the RGM in making informed decisions. Conduct research, prepare presentations, and contribute to strategic discussions. Utilize data‑driven approaches to support decision‑making and drive continuous improvement.
* Change Management: Drive organizational change initiatives by working closely with leadership and teams. Ensure seamless implementation of changes while minimizing disruptions.
* Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that embraces the diverse cultural nuances of APAC. Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment and cooperation in achieving shared objectives.
