Heathcote Health is an integrated rural health service, providing a broad range of acute, aged care, primary health programs and home-based services to Heathcote and surrounding districts.
Position Title: Chef / Cook - Bring your flavour to Heathcote Health
Classification: Dependent on Experience and Qualifications
Employment Type: Ongoing part-time 60+ hours per fortnight

Role Description
Do you believe a good meal can make someone's day? Do you secretly judge sloppy knife skills on cooking shows? If so, we'd love you in our kitchen.
Heathcote Health is seeking a skilled, motivated Chef / Cook to join our friendly team and help us dish up fresh, nutritious, delicious meals to our consumers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Craft, cook, portion and package meals following our recipes (and help us create better ones)
* Keep our kitchen sparkling and food‑safe—your inner hygiene inspector will love it
* Train and support kitchen staff like the culinary coach you were born to be
* Maintain smooth kitchen operations, even when the heat is literally on
* Ensure our food safety and WHS practices are followed—no "five‑second rule" here
About you
You'll thrive with us if you have:
* A trade qualification in cookery and/or solid experience in food services
* Excellent communication and people skills
* Strong documentation skills (because if it's not written down… did it really happen?)
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently when needed
* Confidence using computer‑based systems
* Initiative, enthusiasm, and a love for food that brings joy
