Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital (GVEH) located just outside of Shepparton, Victoria, is widely regarded as one of Australia's pre-eminent equine veterinary practices providing a wide range of first opinion and referral equine veterinary services. The incorporation of GVEH into the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences (FVAS), The University of Melbourne allows the University of Melbourne to provide an exciting opportunity to deliver an exceptional equine referral and first opinion practice experience to students in the final year of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program.
GVEH is seeking a qualified full-time Equine Veterinarian with a minimum of 3 years' equine experience, to join the existing team of veterinarians. The successful applicant will work as a clinical veterinarian, with a focus upon first opinion ambulatory practice. The role will require the successful applicant to take responsibility for ensuring final veterinary students are exposed to appropriate cases either at GVEH or during ambulatory visits and will involve assisting the delivery of tutorials/practical's during student rotations.
Applicants should be eligible for registration with the Veterinary Practitioner's Board of Victoria.
The salary for a full-time ambulatory role is between $80,000 and $120,000.
