People and Culture Business Partner
Employment: Full time / Ongoing
Location: Hobart, TAS or Surrey Hills, VIC
About the role
Are you an experienced HR Advisor or in a similar role and ready to take the next step in your career? This is a fantastic opportunity to grow into a true Business Partner role, where you'll have your own portfolio, make a strategic impact, and help shape a positive workplace culture.
As a HR Business Partner, you will provide high-quality, end-to-end people support to leaders and employees across an assigned portfolio. You'll work closely with managers to navigate a wide range of people matters, from employee relations and performance management through to organisational change and workforce planning. You'll also play an active role across the broader business, contributing to projects, case management, training delivery, and the continuous improvement of HR practices.
Key Responsibilities Include
Manage cases across the industrial relations landscape
Lead exciting and strategic projects that boost our workforce capability
Be the coach leaders turn to for advice on legislation and people best practices
Build manager confidence in performance, development, and team culture
Shape organisational practices that align with legislation, and bring our values to life
Work in close partnership with our leadership teams
In this role, you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities. You will be at the forefront of driving positive organisational change, supporting our teams, and developing initiatives that will help our teams to grow, learn and thrive.
Skills and experience required to be successful in this role
Sound knowledge of legislative frameworks applicable to employment arrangements (NES, Enterprise Agreements, FW Rulings, and the SCHADS Award is desirable)
Experience in employee and industrial relations, including performance management, investigations, and grievances.
Knowledge and experience in strategic and operational Human Resources requirements workforce planning, work health and safety, employee engagement and development
Demonstrated ability to cultivate effective working relationships and collaborative approaches with a broad range of stakeholders
Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight timeframes
High level written and spoken communication skills, including demonstrated ability to coach and be a knowledgeable resource
Excellent computer skills, including experience with HR systems.
Qualifications
Degree in Human Resources, Law, Industrial Relations or related discipline
Working knowledge of the disability or health sector is advantageous but not essential.
